Here’s one thought you might add to your conversation with God. “God, may the hearts of our blended family be open to receiving one another. Just as You have adopted us as your children, may the members of our stepfamily adopt one another as family.”
Scripture confirms in Romans 8 that those who are led by the Spirit have been adopted as sons and daughters of God. God has opened his heart toward us in loving kindness, so pray that the members of your home will also open their hearts toward one another. It’s awesome to be adopted by God. And it’s awesome to adopt one another in love.
