Ron: What’s your working definition of love?

Ron: Well, if you’re asking me I think Hallmark had a pretty good definition. Actually, it was an old ad campaign but I think it captures the essence of what love does. Their slogan, “When you care enough to send the very best.” Now let’s replace the word, “send” with “give” and see if this works. When you care enough to give the very best. Hum. The best of what? Yourself.
When you care enough about someone else to give them the best of you. Yes, whether we’re talking about a spouse or a child or another family member that pretty well captures what love does. You know, that’s what Jesus did. He gave the best of Himself for us and that’s what we should do today for each other. For FamilyLife Blended I’m Ron Deal.
