Marriage: A Set of Problems
Air date: January 29,2025
Ron: When you choose a mate, you choose a set of problems for the rest of your life.
Announcer: For FamilyLife Blended®, here’s Ron Deal.
Ron: It turns out that nearly seventy percent of the conflicts that couples have are what we call perpetual issues. They are disagreements that they just can’t seem to resolve. Many of those issues are rooted in personality differences or personal preferences. Things that aren’t likely to change.
Stepcouples also find that they marry themselves to some perpetual problems that they didn’t anticipate. Like ongoing conflict between homes. Or financial troubles that are rooted in the past. Or an ex-mother-in-law. The quicker you accept these things and ask God for the humility and patience to adjust to them, the better off you will be. For FamilyLife Blended I’m Ron Deal.
