Ron: Do you remember that story in Luke 5 about the guy who was paralyzed and Jesus said, “Your sins are forgiven,” and the critical Pharisees said, “Well, who can forgive sins but God?” So Jesus proved that he could forgive him by healing him…and the man got up and walked. Do you remember that?
Well, the witnesses glorified God as a result, and we get reminded that he who has the authority to heal, has the authority to forgive sin and, therefore, has the authority of Lord.
